No, but seriously. I have a love love relationship with all things button down, popover, flannel, whatever you want to call it, and I think you should, too. Here's why:
1. It's officially cold out (hello, long sleeves!)
2. They're perfect for any occasion
3. You can wear them with pants, skirts, jeans, and,
of course, the J. Crew Gigi Pant
It's hard not to be partial to plaid or blue stripes, but there's a lot to be said for a good solid colored button down, too. Think statement necklaces and bold shoes. I have way too many button downs to count but my go-tos are always those from Brooks Brothers, Vineyard Vines, and Ralph Lauren.
If you're not convinced, just think of button downs as another excuse to go on a shopping spree or, better yet, an easy peasy way to steal a look from the boys and be on trend for fall.
